About the Age-Friendly Saskatchewan Committee

The committee, appointed by SSM (the Saskatchewan Seniors Mechanism), has volunteers from across Saskatchewan.

The Age-Friendly Saskatchewan Committee will assist communities on their journey to becoming more Age-Friendly in the following ways:

  • Providing information and resources
  • Facilitating community consultations
  • Assisting communities in their Action Planning
  • Working together to promote Age-Friendly
  • Providing a Liaison to assist in local committee work
  • Introducing Age-Friendly to new communities
  • Hosting provincial events (often by Zoom) to bring local committees together
  • Preparing to apply for Age-Friendly Recognition & Maintaining Recognition
